What goes into a wine rooms project.

A glass wine room is a climate boundary as much as a display: the enclosure has to hold a controlled temperature and humidity against the rest of the house, which makes it closer engineering to a steam shower than to an office partition. We build fully sealed, gasketed glass walls and doors — glass-to-glass and glass-to-frame joints detailed to maintain the cellar's temperature and humidity delta so the collection is protected, not just visible. Designs run from classical traditional, with framed glazing and warm metal, to fully modern minimal, where a nearly frameless glass box lets the racking be the whole statement. Glass is tempered in clear or low-iron; low-iron is the frequent pick here because it keeps label colours and wood tones true through the panel rather than casting them green. Insulated and thicker configurations are available where the temperature delta or the span calls for it. The buying considerations are the cooling system the room is built around, how the door seals and how often it's opened, and whether the floor and header can carry a tall glass wall. We coordinate with the cooling contractor and the millwork shop so the glass integrates with the racking and the unit, then fabricate at the Carrollton shop.
