[ About frameless doors ]
What goes into a frameless doors project.
Not every frameless glass door hangs on a shower. This category covers the architectural applications — interior pocket and pivot doors, wine-cellar entries, office and conference partitions, and glass feature walls — where the same frameless engineering divides space without blocking light. A glass door lets daylight carry through a floor plan and makes a room feel larger while still defining it, which is why designers reach for them in both high-end residential and commercial interiors. We build pivot, hinged and sliding configurations, with the glass doing the structural work through slim patch fittings, floor pivots or concealed hardware rather than a metal frame. Glass is typically ⅜″ or ½″ tempered — thicker for tall pivot doors that want rigidity and a substantial swing — in clear, low-iron or lightly tinted finishes, with edges polished where they're exposed. The buying considerations shift from a shower's: floor flatness matters for a pivot, the header and jamb have to carry a sliding door's track, and privacy is handled with frosting, film or manifestation bands rather than a solid panel. We measure and fabricate to the real, finished conditions — rarely perfectly plumb or square — at the Carrollton shop, and coordinate with the GC or millwork shop on install. This is commercial-adjacent work we see most often in Dallas, Plano and Irving office build-outs and custom homes.
